AS OF MARCH 5TH
RETIRING FROM REGULARLY SCHEDULED GROUP YOGA CLASSES
I am officially retired from teaching regularly scheduled group yoga classes as of Monday, March 5th.
Over the years, I have grown more and more certain that yoga's value lies in the evolutionary changes it can help one to make over an extended period of time. And that those changes necessarily relate to society as a whole. While group yoga classes are certainly a part of that, in and of themselves they cannot take us the whole way. More and more I've had the opportunity to lead long-term group trainings in energy and subtle body awareness and individual whole-life yogic mentoring through Constant Yogi. With more trainings on the horizon and an ever-growing waitlist of courageous students ready to sign up to be Constant Yogis, my schedule has to shift even as it exists now.
But beyond that, these trainings and individual mentorships have been individual threads spun and I'm now ready to begin to put them together in a tapestry. Over the next months, you will be hearing more from me on social media as I make my way from leading long-term trainings and mentorships for individuals to establish long-term communities based on individual, social, and collective awareness combined. The struggle that each of us faces to accept and integrate both fear and love mirrors the struggle that our society as a whole faces to do the same. I've always aimed to throw my hat into the ring for both of those fights. This step will allow me to do just that.
I will not be disappearing. There will still be workshops and trainings and coming soon there will be clubs and meetups and satsangs. For everyone who has showed up at my classes occasionally or consistently (or anywhere in between), your energy and attention has meant more to me than you can ever know. There has never been a moment where I haven't felt like I was the one learning from you. I am eternally grateful and hope that these new endeavors allow me to serve you all the better. I am staying on the sub list everywhere I'm currently teaching (partially because I'm sure I'm going to miss teaching too much) so keep an eye out for the occasional reappearance. As things develop, I will most likely come back to teaching a regular group class(es) in some form. A newsletter will be on the way soon, so we can keep in touch. I'm so excited to take this next step. I hope you'll be there to join me.
If you'd like, email me (at email@example.com) your email address and I'll add you to the newsletter when it comes.
